HEY THERE, LOVEBIRDS!
I had the pleasure of being Niamh and Matthew's videographer and capturing the magic that unfolded on their big day at the Tullyglass Hotel, County Antrim in May this year. Niamh and Matthew opted for our wedding photo and video combo, making sure no moment slipped away unnoticed, so I enlisted the help of legendary Leigh Parke of Leigh Parke Photography to be our photographer for the day.
The day kicked off with some seriously good vibes during the bridal prep. Niamh, her mum, little Clara, and the squad of three awesome bridesmaids were all about the craic.
Niamh's stunning wedding dress from Reflections Bridal in Lisburn stole the show, while the bridesmaids rocked gold/cream ASOS numbers, and Niamh's mum looked so elegant in a Milan at Moy creation. Aideen Toal worked her magic on hair, and Rachel Donnelly sprinkled her makeup fairy dust. The flowers from Dawn’s Flower Studio were a perfect accompaniment to the dresses. Even the invitations matched, made by Coey Creations.
Oh, and there was a tear-jerker moment when Niamh's dad got a sneak peek at her rocking that wedding dress for the first time. I’m a sucker for these kinds of moments.
After arriving at the Tullyglass Hotel, me and the amazing Leigh Parke, the photography maestro, started snapping away. First up, the room decor – absolutely stunning which again included the stunning flowers from Dawn’s Flower Studio.
Then it was all about Matthew, his crew, and his folks. Despite the pre-wedding jitters, Matthew was holding it down like a champ.
Shoutout to Rachel Toman, who set the mood with her musical talents during the ceremony. I’ve worked with Rachel before and it’s always great to see her friendly face. We also got to share some firsts with each other. I introduced her to cold coffee and she introduced me to oat milk. The ceremony was expertly conducted by the fantastic Eamonn Andrews, which was nothing short of heartwarming.
Post-ceremony, it was all about mingling and capturing the newlyweds' smiles before stealing Niamh and Matthew for a quick photo session. We explored the revamped grounds of the Tullyglass, and it looked stunning in the pics. It’s so important to me that the bride and groom get to spend as much time with their friends and family on the day as possible, as is often the way with families, we don’t get to see everyone as much as we’d like.
After a few quick snaps, we breezed through the formal family photos, sharing a good giggle along the way before leaving the couple to enjoy their drinks reception before dinner.
The crowd went wild as our newlyweds made their grand entrance. Applause, cheers, the whole shebang. Speeches were on point, especially the heartfelt ones from Niamh's dad and Matthew.
The first dances were a love-fest, with Matthew and Niamh stealing the spotlight. Niamh's dance with her dad added a dose of sweetness, and then it was party time all thanks to the Moonshines band!
Before calling it a night, we snagged Niamh and Matthew for some quick nighttime photos under the moonlight and the results were pure magic!
As I look back on Niamh and Matthew's epic day, I'm reminded that love is the real MVP. It was a blast being part of their story, and I'm sending them all the good vibes as they dive into this new chapter together.
Big shoutout to Tullyglass Hotel for being the backdrop to this love story. If you're dreaming of a wedding venue that's got that perfect mix of charm and modern vibes, Tullyglass Hotel is your jam.
Niamh and Matthew, may your love story be a forever kind of thing. Cheers to happiness! 🥂
